Description
The Milky Way rises over the Gulf of Mexico as seen from Pass-a-Grill Beach in St. Pete Florida. For most of the year, the city lights of St Pete wash out the milky way and it can’t be seen from this location. During the month of September, the brightest part of the Milky Way (the galactic core) is far enough out over the water that I can look away from the city lights and faintly see it if I look in just the right place.
